My first day back in Alaska

Today is my first day back in Alaska this year and I have nothing but good news to report. First and foremost the photography is just amazing, better than ever. We had over 2 dozen or more eagles in the air and perching for our very first session. This is good news for my 2012 tour participants that show up next week and bad news for those that did not make it this year but technically there are 2 openings for my second tour March 28- April 1, 2012 so let me know if you can make it.

Even though I have been coming here since 2005 you never know what to expect, last year it was sunny and 60 degrees where Florida was below freezing the same day. This year is back to normal, snow on the ground and temps in the 20-30s. The birds are very plentiful and super active, really each year has been getting better and better here.

More images to follow over the next 2 weeks.
