The workshop venue is one of the premier workshop locations in the US and our group will have special early entry each day and will be staying after park hours each night to take advantage of the very best light.
The variety of birds that can be photographed here in flight, on the nest, and with chicks is beyond amazing. Roseate spoonbill, wood stork, tricolored heron, great egret, snowy egret, cattle egret, little blue heron, and green heron. In 2011 there were an astounding 800 nests in the SAAF rookery including 16 roseate spoonbill nests. This is an incredible place to photograph and a superb place for a workshop.
